Applicants must have at least five years of relevant professional experience post-gradÌýand reside in Canada to be considered eligible for the program.

Program options

The Master of Public Administration (Management) is offered part-time through online studyÌýwith select online and on-campus intensives culminating in a capstone project.

Blended/Online delivery model

Our courses are offered primarily online through a blend of asynchronous learning and scheduled virtual sessions. ÌýEach core course also includes a valuable in-person intensive component where students benefit from one-on-one interaction with top-notch educators and a network of sector-wide professionals.

All graduate programs at º£½ÇÉçÇøapp are collaboratively delivered by a home Faculty and theÌýFaculty of Graduate Studies.

Program-specific requirements

This program requires you to meet the following criteria:

  • At least five years of professional and relevant workplace experience. (For this purpose, professional indicates that an undergraduate degree or specific technical training/certification is typically required for the type of position held.)

  • A four-year undergraduate degree with at least a 3.0 GPA from a university recognized by the senate of º£½ÇÉçÇøapp University.Ìý

We consider applications from people without a university degree on a case-by-case basis. If you choose to apply without a degree, you’ll need to create a portfolio of the learning you’ve achieved through formal education or training, workplace experience or other activities.

When considering your application, we will pay particular attention to analytical skills and competencies relevant to advanced study in public administration.

Finally, upon admission, a student may request advanced placement credits based on graduate courses completed within a previous undergraduate or graduate program, that are deemed equivalent to graduate courses within the MPA(M) program. 

Verification of language proficiency is required by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Results from the following tests are accepted to apply to the MPA (M) program:

  1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  2. Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT)
  3. Graduate Record Examination (GRE)Ìý

Attendance at in-person sessions (2.5 days for each course) is a mandatory and important component of the programs. Travel to Canada for intensives sessions will be required.

Please note that this program is part-time and does not meet the requirements for obtaining an international student visa.
