Supporting documents
Applicants should hold a four-year bachelor鈥檚 degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from an institution recognized by 海角社区app University with a minimum 3.0 on a 4.3 scale (B average) in the last two years (60 credits) of study.
As per Faculty of Graduate Studies regulations, we cannot accept applicants that do not have an undergraduate degree. 听
Unofficial/partial transcripts:听
- These are acceptable at the time of application. HOWEVER, official/final versions must be submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies within 90 days of starting the program, if accepted. A hold will be placed on your account if you do not meet this deadline. Please make a plan ahead of time to obtain and submit your official transcripts.

Official/final transcripts:
Must include all final marks, the degree name/type, and the date the degree was conferred (graduation date). If this is not stated on the transcript, documentation must be provided from the University confirming this information.
Submission options are: Electronic file-transfers from the issuing institution and from services such as Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, eScrip-Safe, or TranscriptNetwork. All electronic transcripts must be sent to mba@dal.ca.

- Please submit one鈥痗opy鈥痮f all official transcripts from ALL post-secondary institutions attended (including transfer credits, study abroad, incomplete programs).
- Transcripts submitted with applications become the property of 海角社区app University, are subject to verification, are not available for copying, and will not be returned to the applicant.鈥
- Notarized transcripts will not be accepted.鈥
- Transcripts in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by an English translation provided by the institution issuing the transcript.鈥
- Transcript grading keys must be included with the transcript.鈥疧fficial transcripts are not required for any courses or degree you have completed at 海角社区app University听unless courses were taken through the Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development听or University of King鈥檚 College. Our office will obtain these transcripts on your behalf.鈥
- If your transcripts have a different name than the one listed on your online application, please also submit proof of name change (e.g. marriage certificate, etc) with your application documents.
Provide two professional references鈥痜rom a recent employer (last 5 years) by having your referees complete our reference form [PDF 鈥 182 KB] and email it to mba@dal.ca using their work email.
In the references section of the online application portal, choose 鈥淵es鈥 to indicate that your referee will be submitting directly to our office.听
Applicants should ensure that their references comment on their:听
ability to demonstrate initiative
level of engagement
quantitative skills
coachability
ability to work well as a team member
ability to follow through on work or academic assignments听
potential for career progression.

Referees may submit an additional letter if desired. Please ensure that all sections of the form are fully completed.
References must be kept confidential from the applicant. References must be submitted directly by the referee through the e-mail link provided; we cannot accept them from a personal secretary or assistant. We ask that referees do not copy applicants on their correspondence with our office.
It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure references are submitted on time.

English is the language of study at 海角社区app, therefore all applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate their capacity to pursue a graduate-level program in English before admission.鈥

Program and course details
The Faculty of Management鈥檚 part-time blended online delivery model ensures that you can complete your MBA degree without losing career momentum.
Students in the Career Advance pathway develop a diverse set of fundamental business skills through our core curriculum. In each of the three academic terms per year, students choose from a list of wide-ranging courses balancing your learning needs with your lifestyle and professional responsibilities.
The 海角社区app edge is its blended online learning model which allows for the flexibility of online learning while providing the opportunity to develop rich personal connections with your classmates through face-to-face intensives.
All core courses are delivered online throughout the term with a mandatory in-person intensive at the end of the course, where students spend 3.5 days in locations such as Halifax, Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver;听or online for the six-week Business Microeconomics and Quantitative Decision Making courses. Activities and goals of intensives can vary depending on the nature of the class and instructor. They may include lectures, presentations, simulations, group activities, individual assignments, and guest speakers.

The Certificate in Leading Collaboratively in a Complex World听provides the opportunity for students to develop their personal and professional competencies through the examination and application of contemporary leadership management theories in a variety of challenging contexts.
The Finance Certificate allows students to focus on critical analysis and decision-making skills that are fundamental to management and client service roles in a financial services workplace.
What you will learn

Electives:鈥疘n addition to the core curriculum, students in this pathway complete 9 credit hours of electives online. Elective classes are鈥痙esigned to take your knowledge to the next level. Students may choose from any of the MBA electives or combine MBA electives with graduate offerings from programs within and outside of Faculty of Management.
