Research interests

I am presently studying alternative environmental management and governance framework for the agricultural dykeland-marsh landscapes of the Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia. Specifically, I am assessing how heritage-based frameworks can potentially balance agro-economic production, ecological conservation, and cultural preservation needs for these landscapes amid impacts of climate change. I am presently conducting two empirical studies, including (1) understanding community perceptions of heritage of these landscapes and (2) examining the benefits and trade-offs of heritage-based climate adaptation activities, programs, and/or policies. I work with Prof. Kate Sherren of SRES, Prof. Danika van Proosdij of Saint Mary's University, Tony Bowrown of CBWES Inc., and John Cormier of NS CCTH
