The first theatre production under the Fountain School of Performing Arts banner opens this week: a creative take on Aristophanes' "The Birds" with props and settings made almost entirely from recycled or re-used materials.

This weekend's Homecoming festivities add a new "Tiger Fun Walk/Run" across all three Halifax campuses. Attendees are encouraged to bring footwear to donate to "Walk in Our Shoes" foot-care clinic for homeless and at-risk adults.

Making his first address to the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, Dal President Richard Florizone outlined the university鈥檚 emerging strategy for supporting the region鈥檚 economic development and asked government and business leaders to work with Dal to build a stronger Nova Scotia.

Organized by the Dal Commerce Society, this year's bicycle fundraiser brought in a record $25,800 to support children with cancer through Camp Goodtime and the IWK Health Centre.

Dal's annual "Pink Day" took place this past Tuesday, with colourful events on all four campuses celebrating respect and inclusion in our community.
