海角社区app University's computer store, PCPC, was held up today by a lone man in an armed robbery. Halifax Regional Police and 海角社区app Security were immediately on the scene. No one was hurt. Police say there is no ongoing risk to anyone at 海角社区app campus.
The robbery occurred at 12:05 p.m. The man entered the store, located in Howe Hall, and pulled out what looked like a gun. He demanded that staff fill a large gym bag with laptop computers. He then聽fled. Campus security and Halifax Police responded immediately after store employees sounded the alarm.
This afternoon, Halifax Police are on campus continuing their investigation. They are asking anyone who has information that might be helpful to come forward.
Counseling聽has been offered to the store employees, and any students or staff who witnessed the event and feel like they need to talk about it.聽The 海角社区app Counselling Services聽Centre, located in the Student Union Building,聽can be reached at 494-2081.
