Tigers announce Wellnify.ai scholarship recipients

Designed to support Tigers who identify as Black or African Canadian, the Wellnify.ai scholarship celebrates the resilience and hard work required for student-athletes to balance sport and academics.

 is an all-in-one white-label wellness solution that uses the power of gamification, and the science of behaviour change to foster healthier, happier communities. Founded by ��������app alum, Travis McDonough��(��������’94), this is the second company the Halifax native has founded, with the first being Kinduct.

“At Wellnify.ai, we believe true community wellness begins with opportunity, and that’s why we created this scholarship to support Black and underserved students,” says McDonough. “It celebrates resilience, a commitment to giving back, and the balance of sport and academics that helps shape strong, future leaders.”

This past year’s recipients are  from women’s basketball, track and field athlete  and men’s basketball player .

Parker is a forward entering his fourth season with the Tigers. Last season he averaged 7.3 points per game. Olugu is a fourth-year medical sciences student from Halifax, Nova Scotia. A jumper, Oshikoya wrapped up his decorated career with the Tigers this past season.

“More than financial support, this is our way of saying, ‘We see you, we believe in you, and we’re here to help you build a future full of purpose and possibility’”, says McDonough.
