Journalists are sounding the alarm, saying there is an increasing lack of communication and openness from government at all levels. It is becoming more difficult to get an interview or a call-back from politicians or their staff, with reporters being 'frozen out', thus making it harder for the public to be informed voters.

The School of Journalism, Writing & Publishing at the University of Kings College invites you to join Assistant Professor Pauline Dakin as she moderates a panel exploring the following topics:

How governments and journalists interact and how that is evolving;
The impact on public knowledge and discourse when information access is limited and why that matters;
What could improve the flow of information and the relationship between government and journalism?

This event, focused on the impacts of technology on democracy, is dedicated to discussing the regulation of emerging technologies and the impact of law on society.
