To aid in the advancement of student veterinary/animal health technicians and technologists, RVTTC/TTVAC provides an annual educational scholarship of $500.00 to a student registered in their final year in a veterinary/animal health technician/technologist program. One scholarship is awarded in each RVTTC/TVAC member province, sponsored by Petplan Pet Insurance, to be distributed among students who exemplify compassionate care, go above and beyond to improve the profession and demonstrate considerable clinical strength.
Dr. Lori Parson nominated Emma Friendship for the bursary.聽 Emma is an excellent example of a student leader.聽 She maintains a top of the class average and is strong in all practical clinical components.聽 Emma has performed very well in all of her practical externships throughout the program.
Emma is one of the student leaders for our 300 Felines project this year.聽 300 Felines is a student lead initiative which runs a feral cat trap neuter return program.聽 As a student leader, she communicated with the public, runs fundraisers and helps organize clinics.聽 Emma is a driving forcer in this program and is clearly one of the reasons why we have exceeded our goal to help many feral cats in the program.
Congratulations Emma
