- Lindell Smith, Halifax City Councillor, community leader and co-founder of Centreline Studio 鈥� a not-for profit recording studio and arts centre in Halifax dedicated to local youth.聽
- Rebecca Thomas, Halifax Poet Laureate and an activist for indigenous rights
