Dr. Sarah Chisholm
Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science
Dr. Sarah Chisholm is a University Teaching Fellow in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the coordinator of the Mathematics and Statistics Learning Centre. Sarah鈥檚 specialty is in teaching introductory level Mathematics, particularly Calculus. Sarah completed a First-Class Honour鈥檚 BSc at 海角社区app followed by an MSc and a PhD at the University of Calgary, all in Mathematics. Sarah taught introductory level Mathematics courses for several years at Harvard University, before returning to 海角社区app. Sarah works actively to create a learning environment that is both welcoming and productive for all, particularly for folks that are historically underrepresented. Her goal is to help students enhance their problem-solving skills more broadly. Sarah also mentors early career academics to prepare them for their own teaching pathways. You will likely find Sarah in the Learning Centre, at the board with a group of students, working through problems together.
